In command prompt type below

Where C:pathtophp is the folder where your php.exe file is located. After this run

Set the Path like as following:

Step 1 - Click on the Windows icon

Step 2 - Click on the Settings icon

Step 3 - Click on System

Step 4 - Click on About

You just need to find out where is your PHP folder.

• If you are using XAMPP or WAMP then you will see a php folder.
• You just need to go into the php folder using your cmd using command

cd xamppphp (FOR XAMPP)

cd wampphp (FOR WAMP)

php -v

Go to c drive and run the command as below

C:xamppphp>php -v

It is most likely that php is not in your specified path.

Try to issue the php command with the full path, for example:

C:> 'C:Program Filesphpphp.exe' -v

Please note, that this is just an example, your php installation might be in a different directory.

For me, the PHP path traversed from php5.6.25 (or php7) installation folder, through wamp folder, bin and php..

Easiest way is to, just click on the WAMP icon on task bar and Go to PHP >Version, version will be displayed

This how I check php version

If you are using any local server like Wamp, Xampp then Go to this Steps

1. Go to your drive
2. Check xampp or wamp server that you installed
3. Inside that check php, if you got then go for next step

4. You will find php.exe, Once you get php.exe then you are done. Just type the path like below, here i am using XAMPP and type v for checking version and you are done.
